Regardless of the season, there is plenty
of activity at the pool. From swim lessons, swim team, family events and
adult water programs, our pool looks to provide fun and challenges for
every age. A complete roster of activities has plans for virtually every
member regardless of age or swimming ability. Our swim lesson schedule
ensures that all levels of swimmers, from infants to adults, can enjoy
the pool. Whether you're in a water aerobics class or enjoying free time
with the family, the 225,000 gallons of heated pool water keeps everyone
warm and cozy. For more information or to register for any of the MAFC

Swim
Lessons
We
offer swim lessons for infants to adults. All of our classes are taught
by certified American Red Cross instructors, and each participant is encouraged
to progress at their on pace. Class size is kept small to maximize instruction.
Each class needs at least 3 pre-registered students but there are no more
than 8 students in any given class. Excluding our "Infant/Toddler"
and "Adult Beginner" classes, all others are divided into two
categories. For most children ages 3-5 our "Pre-School" category
of classes will suit their needs. For older swimmers, 6-12, our "Level"
category will be the best place to look for instruction to suit their swimming
needs. For your convenience, course descriptions and class schedules are
posted on this web site under "Schedules."

Whirlpool/Steam Room/Sauna
For
a relaxing de-stressing feeling after a long, hard day or after your workout
plunge into one of three luxurious heat therapies. Our sauna
room operates with volcanic rock and will allow you to relax and renew your
body. It comfortably seats up to 6 people, so you do not have to worry about
being left out. Or try our eucalyptus scented steam room.
Medical studies show that frequent steam bathing helps to reduce stress
and keep your circulatory system running smooth. Finally, take it easy in
our oversized Jacuzzi. Feel calmer instantly, loosen sore,
tight muscles as the warm water jets massage your neck and shoulders. Monroe
Aquatics and Fitness Center takes great pride in providing a complete body
workout . . . including relaxation. For everyone's convenience, please:
1) shower before and after use 2) always remember to ensure proper hydration
and 3) you must be at least 16 years of age to use these 3 amenities.
